Scandal surrounding the most recent HOH competition

During the HOH competition (a true/false quiz type competition), the critical question asked was "Fact or Fiction? There is still one previous relationship in the BB9 house."

The answer of course is FICTION, Ryan stepped on FACT, while Adam and Sharon both stepped on FICTION. Julie gave too much pause for my liking before saying that the answer was FACT, and on the television monitors it said (The Guinea Pigs). Immediately I thought how stupid that is, and as it turns out, it was the question that stole away the HOH from Sharon who would have won if the answer had been the correct FICTION.

Check out the video and decide for yourself. This reminds me of back in the days when it seemed that CBS was rigging competitions to keep the lovely Janelle in the house. *shrug*

i totally agree, this competition was rigged, julie started to say somthing that sounded like fiction then paused a little too long and said fact, preventing sharon from getting hoh, stupid cbs, no more bb for me and mine

so what if it WAS rigged. Rye Bread won which mean A. Baller is staying...that's all that matters :)

When Julie Chen gets messages from the producers over her earpiece receiver during live telecasts, she often pauses and then gets confused. This has happened occasionally in past seasons. During the competition last evening, she clearly paused, forgot to give the houseguests the proper verbal prompts, and it was clear that she was getting instructions over her earpiece. If the "guinea pigs" answer had not been such as strange one, I'd have figured someone had told her when they were going to break or some such instruction. As it was, however, it seemed to me, if to no one else, that something foul was afoot. I happened to watch some of the quiz shows during the late 50's, and it was clear--particularly on "The $64,000 Question" and on "Twenty-One" that something wasn't right. I wasn't the only one who thought so, and, as we know, after investigations, both shows were proved to be guilty of skewing results. Congress stepped in, heads rolled, and regulations were put in place. Everyone thought that was that, but, then again, everyone thought the Viet Nam War taught us that certain types of foreign entanglements were bad for America. It seems that every two or three generations the same kinds of lessons have to be relearned. If Les Moonves--I'm assuming he has no role in anything that may be going on--doesn't investigate "Big Brother," he'll wish he had. Millions of dollars are at stake for CBS, and it's to CBS's advantage to air a show that will draw the largest audience. Perhaps their surveys show that Sharon, not the most dynamic of contestants, is less a draw to the viewing audience than Ryan, Adam, or Sheila. Who knows? A question that can go either way depending upon who gets the right answer is a red flag. The "guinea pig" question is precisely such a red flag. Maybe the competition wasn't rigged, but it certainly had all the earmarks. The only thing lacking was a sweating Charles Van Doren.

that competition reminded me of season 6 when they competitions seemed to always be tailored towards janelle's strengths. namely the hockey pov and the chess pov where she, james, howie, and kaysar cornered maggie and ivette. this is one of the things i have always hated about this show. cbs clearly has a plot they are following (ryan winning) and they are making it so he stays in the house like the week him and allison were going to get evicted but all of a sudden cbs decided to get rid of the couples so ryan would stay in the house. one houseguest even admitted on housecalls, though i can't remember who, that cbs followed a plot and set up competitions that certain people could win at. it was clear that the question was completely ridiculous and cbs was telling julie what to say so sharon wouldn't win. this makes the show really boring and i don't see me watching it once this season finishes up. all i hope is that sheila or sharon wins pov so adam will get sent to sequester

Sheila is playing Adam like a master violinist. BBAD last night, Adam is putty in her hands...Really would like to know what she whispered to him in bed..His reaction was great- smiles and nods....Hmm..

Its rigged. This was supposed to be till death do you part(coupls to the end) but when it looked like James and Chelsia had it locked up, they split them up. So where is the till death do you part fit in any more. RIGGED for sure.

If it was rigged, then wouldn't have Ryan had to have been given the answer to the tie-breaker?

Sharon had a chance.

Sounds logical that Ryan would of been given the answer to the tie-breaker, also.

Big deal! I watch game shows all the time and see this kind off stuff. Julie could have sropped the paper with the answer or a whole host of things could have happened.

Also Sharon had another chance to win in the tie breaker that I noticed none of you James fans ever mention.
